Melvin Brewing :- building a brand by giving back

I recently read about an American company that work within their community to offer sponsorship for events , charities and groups doing good.

Whilst there is nothing unusual about successful companies giving back to their communities, what stood out for me especially were the values behind this company …Melvin Brewing.

Melvin Brewing believe in both valuing their customers and expressing that value through giving back in sponsorship opportunities.


As a group of moms we recently discussed the importance of showing appreciation to our families and how much we value it when we are shown the same appreciation back for the continuous small things we do daily.

So, it stands to reason, that this would be a trait we value most when looking at the brands we support.

In 2009, Jeremy Toft, had the idea to bring “a beer of the future” to the present.

Starting with just a small 3 gallon beer brew system in Jackson, WY, he has successfully built an award winning business over the last few years and first won the Small brew pub of the year at GABF in 2015.

In 2017, Melvin Brewingwas now a 45 barrel group and won Brewing group of the year at GABF.

An excellence in brewing standards and a strong passion for their craft has seen this brewing company successfully grow.

With fun being the core of their business, I noted that many of the sponsorship opportunities highlight health and their relationship with the outdoors, encouraging their employees and customers to embrace an active lifestyle and to push themselves to achieve greatness.

But, as a brand they are not only focused on fun. They also use the opportunity to offer sponsorship, share brewing resources and collaborate with other breweries to deepen their relationship within their communities.
